Q. How do I find Anchorage phone books?

The Consortium Library has quite a few phone books for Anchorage. The best way to find them is to go to the Library Catalog on the main page of the Library website.

Click on Advanced Search which is just to the right of the search box.

In the subject box partway down the page, enter "Anchorage (Alaska) -- Telephone directories". Then below that, under Limits, select UAA/APU Consortium and click the Advanced Search button.

You'll get about 14 listings for different directories, many covering different date spans, for Anchorage and surrounding areas. Make a note of the call number for the ones you'd like to see and they'll be in the Alaskana collection on the second floor of the Library.
