If you've lost an item, we recommend you follow these steps:

1. Double and triple check all the places the item could be (car, home, classrooms, work, etc.)

2. If you've searched everywhere twice, come to the Circulation Desk at the library or give us a call at 907-786-1871.

3. If an item is from our library (UAA/APU Consortium Library), we will process your information. If an item is from ARLIS, an Anchorage Public Library, or other UA libraries, contact them for lost item information.

For Consortium Library items the costs to replace an item can be found on this webpage under lost materials, although the actual pricing may vary. 

If an item is damaged, one of the library managers will assess the damage. If you damaged the book, you will be fined based on the amount of damage.
