Q. How do I request an interlibrary loan (ILL) and where do I pick it up?

If you are faculty, staff, or a student currently enrolled at UAA or APU, from the library homepage, select Interlibrary Loan. If you have never used ILL before, you may need to take a minute to enter your information. Select the New Request link and fill in as much information as you can about the item you need, and click Submit at the bottom of the page.

When the item you requested is available, you will receive an email notification. Hard copy materials such as books will be available for pick up at the Main Circulation Desk.

Items delivered electronically such as journal articles will be available in your Interlibrary Loan account under Posted Articles. Log in to your Interlibrary Loan Account here. 

**If you are not affiliated with UAA or APU, but you have an Anchorage Public Library (APL) card, you can request Interlibrary Loans through APL. Find information on how to do that at the Anchorage Public Library Interlibrary Loans page.
